Do you find yourself waiting on potential customers to reach out? Well, don’t wait anymore. Here are three reasons to reach out instead of waiting for potential clients and customers to call you.
First, waiting is the hardest thing to do. I’m convinced that’s where a lot of businesses fail. It’s in the wait.
Because the wait is lonely, it’s so easy to quit during the wait because the silence convinces you no one is noticing you or tells you the lie that no one cares.
But, when you reach out, there’s no wait. You often get a captive audience, and it builds confidence.
The second reason you should consider reaching out to ideal clients is it allows you to adjust or narrow your offerings to meet their needs.
Because you are reaching out, you get the chance to ask questions, gain knowledge and continue to build and adjust your strategy to meet the needs and solve their problems.
Lastly, reaching out like this gives you the beginning of lasting relationships.
You are building the type of relationship where communication is two-way. So they hear you, but more importantly, you listen to them.
You can get to know them, and as you introduce new products or services, you will know who to reach out to as you continue understanding how to serve them best.
This is how you can build lasting relationships that will continue to bless your business for years to come.
Reaching out is hard. It takes practice, and you will most likely have to do some self-talk to push yourself.
It’s always been hard for me, just like it is for everyone else I meet.
It still is something I need the courage to do. Even after all these years, it doesn’t come easy.
It only gets easier after you get started. Once you get started and make progress, it seems easier.
Then you stop for the day, and the next day is like groundhog day; it’s hard again.
I’ve been doing this for 28 years, and I still think of all the excuses to just wait. But, when I push myself to reach out, it’s always rewarding!
