Have You Ever Needed a Salesperson?

Does that seem like a silly question? Because I bet there have been many times you have needed one and you didn’t even realize it.

Have you ever been sent by your husband to the home improvement store with a strange hunk of metal that he had a name for that you can’t recall? You get to the store, and there are bins and bins of hunks of metal. What did you say? I have said,” I need a little help. Where’s someone in a vest? ” That was code for I need a salesperson.

I was looking for appliances a few months ago for a whole kitchen remodel. I went to several places. I asked some questions, but the answers weren’t complete. I know there were additional questions I should have been asking, but I didn’t know enough about it to know what questions to ask. Which one of all the brands was best for me and my budget? What advantages and disadvantages did each brand offer? What was the exact size of each so I could have the cabinets cut out correctly? I needed a salesperson.

It’s time for our company health insurance renewal. It came in about a 200-page document. I do have a salesperson for that, and I’m so glad I do. It saves me time and money that he’s there. But, the best part is I can trust he understands our employees wants and needs. He understands that our employees are important to us. He knows I want to know what’s best for them.

There are many times I need someone to cut to the chase tell me not what’s the cheapest. I can usually see that clearly. Instead, I need a salesperson to tell me the best value and why.

Sometimes salespeople get overlooked. Those of us who identify it as our profession can sometimes get a little bashful for fear of being pushy or salesy. But, it is undoubtedly clear to me that often a salesperson is needed. So if you are like me and are one of those that sell a product or service, take pride and find joy in the fact you are needed.
