The hardest thing and the best thing about high ticket sales is the wait.
How can it be both? First, it’s hard because results are not immediate. A visit, a phone call, an email, and a card sent to a prospective client can bring little in the way of confirmation.
You can be left wondering, “Is this working?” But, just like most things that are worth your effort, you must persist and stay the course.
No one would ever save enough for a down payment toward a dream house, lose that 10 pounds, or earn a friendship if they didn’t continue to do what brings results with time.
You must continue day in and day out with the attitude that it is working and results are based on your consistent effort and are right around the corner.
Maybe you feel sales results are based on luck. You have to be lucky with timing, and the only reason any effort ever works is due to chance. What if you go into every day with an attitude that every visit, every call, every email, and every card brings you closer to a sale?
Start enjoying every step of the process. Believe and understand every step is building a sale for some time in the future. The more effort you make consistently, the more predictable your results.
Your wait for the sale can be the best part when you learn to enjoy the steps that lead to a deal and then celebrate the win as a reward based on effort instead of a windfall that finally came your way.
You see, the consistent effort that brings expected results is a true accomplishment that can be repeated with success over and over again. If it were about luck, it wouldn’t be near as fun to put in the work. Your efforts will bring results when you are consistent. Enjoy the process, and don’t forget to celebrate you earned it!
