Vision Board Series Part 3: Vision Boarding

Consider Rediscovering Your Sense of Wonder through Vision Boarding.

Have you considered Vision Boarding? I thought about doing it several times before I committed the time.

Doing a vision board seemed kinda childish at first. Then I realized that is exactly what it is. It is a way to access your childlike wonder and, for at least a little while, escape the worry of the world.

There are several types of vision boards. There are digital versions, and even a Pinterest board can be a vision board.

Then there’s the physical version which I choose to do each year these days.

Physical vision boards can be big or small, a one-pager or a book.

I choose the more elaborate, and I do because it’s a fun and exciting event selfishly just for me.

It’s my opportunity to play again and imagine.

I believe God gave us this vivid imagination for a good reason, and it wasn’t just to keep us on edge worrying about the bad that may or may not happen.

It can be for us to imagine our full potential and to discover peace of mind and optimism toward the future.

I have already made my trip to Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s Fabrics, and target.

I have a new scrapbook, paper, scissors, glue, and I’m adding stickers this year.

Plus I have a mountain of magazines with all the things.

Have you planned your day of play?

The day you will access your imagination for all the good things.

Plan the day to be a play date for you to remember the wide-eyed little girl that is still inside you.

Here’s the bonus in having a day of play as an adult. You will now have some opportunity to start to work on the things that come up for you.

When we are children, we can play and dream, but it’s more challenging to see it come to life. We had that feeling that we had to wait.

We’re reminded we were limited by age, size, no bank account. You remember it had to be put off till you grew up.

You’re grown up now. Let’s find that imagination from long ago.
